Module Reflection for December 1

This module has made me think about my role as an instructional designer in the following ways . . . .

I have been a supporter of incorporating Web 2.0 tools into my classroom since I began teaching. I am a complete techno-geek and love to try new things on the web and beyond. So when I reviewed this module it was a confirmation of what I believe to be true. I can only hope that other teachers will catch the techno- bug and begin using these tools in their classrooms as well.

I am always looking for teachers to team up with and collaborate through the web. I have even set up communication through epals with schools all over the country. I see the Internet as a super powerful communication tool and hope to utilize in as many ways as I can.

Right now my entire eLearning course is project based and requires students to utilize the latest web resources. One of my biggest concerns is to make sure that my students are experts at evaluating websites and finding information efficiently. I hope that when they have finished my course they are not only literate in the English language, but also literate in finding and evaluating information.
